Our family room has limited space on either side of the sofa, leaving no room to place end tables, and the coffee table is hard to reach when using the recliners. That said, we opted for this 'under the sofa table' to hold beverages, eyeglasses, remotes, etc. when lounging in the family room. Some assembly is required, but it's easy. The finished piece is very sturdy and has a small basket on the side to hold a book or a few magazines. The surface is just the right size, and when we are done for the night, I slide the table under the side of the sofa, out of the way. It is the perfect solution! I plan to get another for my side.
