This practical well made chair converts into a functional stepstool by simply pulling down the chair top. The chair must be assembled however, all but four of the connection points are factory aligned and threads installed, making assembly quite easy. The one difficult area was connecting the seat; it requires four screws installed from a difficult area into the wood which is very hard. After having little success with installing the screws, I drilled four pilot holes in the seat and that solved the problem.I purchased this chair to keep from dragging in the step ladder when I needed one, now I simply flip the chair top, use the steps and return it to its place in the room when I've completed my task.
